The US Military APECS Parka is the US Military All Purpose Environmental Clothing System Parka which is designed to be an improvement over the current US Military ECWCS parka. With a focus on providing enhanced performance along with a lighter weight, less bulky, and lower noise generation the results have been the nearly complete military wide adoption of the APECS parka. What was achieved by the design of the APECS Parka is a lightweight parka capable of dealing with extreme cold or wet weather in all environmental conditions - something no other parka of this style has achieved.
